Botanical prints

I have always admired the work of botanical artists.  They bring both detailed precision and compositional flair in their resulting works.  In an effort to reproduce some of their skill and artistry I carefully compose studio portraits of UK wildflowers and add text and a suitable backdrop to generate final images for printing.

A series of six studio portraits of UK wildflowers, arranged in the style of botanical images with Latin and common names.  Available as high quality individual prints (framing extra) or as a set of six blank cards.

The Subtle Beauty of Moths

Occasionally we all see moths attracted to lights and windows at night.  The warmer and stiller the air, the more are in flight between dusk and dawn.  But to see their full beauty requires a moth trap, careful photography of those attracted to the trap light, and safe release in locations where birds won't feast.  All images were taken in my small Plymouth garden.

We all need a place to sit...

...and relish the beauty of a garden, take in a view of nature - or simply relax.
